After leaving a successful corporate career where her underwear always matched her shoes, Australian poet and author Crystal Davis has become what she always dreamed - a troubadour with compassion at her core. This is what she believes.
In 3 years Crystal has traveled to 12 countries, appeared in HBO’s Game of Thrones (don’t blink!), contributed to global shark conservation and published a book of poetry highlighting the impact of mental health. Writing articles for various publications has seen her become a viral hit, with her health based piece on Elephant Journal reaching 1.5 million people in one week.
Crystal has raised tens of thousands of dollars for various charities, produced hundreds of heart-centred events and exhibits her works in local and international galleries. She's enjoyed arts residencies in Australia and Italy, and her pieces are held in private collections around the world.
Crystal is now challenging global ideas through her unique adventure Project Curious, learning from 365 new experiences in 365 places on the planet, using her words as currency.
Through this mission she seeks to embody the maxim “you learn something new every day” and inspire others to venture further.
Explore Crystal in the media, how she got here, and her commitment to wearing odd socks.
I believe suppression of curiosity creates a slow death of the soul.
